Both in the traditional ship electric power system, and in its new form of ship integrated electric propulsion system, the synchronous generator is the core equipment of ship power system. In the ship energy conversion, it is the only device of completing mechanical energy to electrical energy conversion, and provides electricity for the whole electric power system of ship. At the same time it also deeply affects the ship the power supply reliability and stability of power system.The research on the stability of ship power system often needs different scales of the mathematical model of synchronous generator to support research. The degree of synchronous generator model affects the simulation analysis and the accuracy of the control management.This study is based on the actual research project of ship integrated electric propulsion.Using the ship integrated electric propulsion minimum simulation experimental platform, the synchronous generator model conforming to the actual operation situation has been set up with actual test data by a specific test and parameter identification process of the synchronous generator. This model can provide more accurate and appropriate scale for the simulation analysis and the control management of other related mathematical mode.Paper main content is as follows:(1) Identification modeling theory is expounded. The park equations of synchronous generator and the practical model of parameter identification can be analysed and studied. The general parameter identification of synchronous generator are present.(2) The feasibility of the artificial fish swarm intelligence algorithm used for parameter identification of synchronous generator is analyzed and parameter identification steps are summarized. A single machine infinite system has been built by the MATLAB/Simulink software. The experimental results prove the correctness and applicability of this identification algorithm.(3) The synchronous generator electrical parameter model is deduced.The research on the least squares identification of step-by-step method of synchronous generator model parameters has been done in single machine infinite system simulation experiment.(4) In view of the deficiency of the artificial fish intelligence algorithm and least squares algorithms, this hybrid algorithm has been studied, and the simulation experiment of synchronous generator parameters identification has been done.(5) Considering the actual characteristics of ship power system, comparative study on the use of cast way and using the perturbation method for synchronous generator excitation voltage dynamic process data and identification of the difference of generator parameters have been done and simulation experiment has been carried out in MATLAB.(6) Finally, in view of the physical laboratory equipment, hardware acquisition device is used to collect the flip a load of the synchronous generator dynamic process data. The artificial fish intelligence algorithm and least squares algorithm is carried on the physical test.At the same time, this paper briefly introduces the related test equipment and test the data processing,etc. The deficiency of current work is summarized and the future research direction is suggested.
