The wing wall is an important building in water conservancy structure. The function of wing wall not only supports the packed soil and keeps the balance of the soil,but also plays a role as a flood control; water supply and irrigation project with its hydraulic structure it belongs to. At present, the theory of the conventional height of wing wall is already mature; it is rather rare in domestic studies for the high wing wall on soil foundation. No general design methods are suitable to be used. So, the thorough research of design methodology and optimized model selection of wing wall has great significance in theory and practical value in engineering. It mainly includes:(1) General structural configuration of conventional wing wall at presently applied in engineering is given. In the meanwhile, the key problem of structural design in the high wing wall is studied,and the design of high wing wall is proposed. This design includes two design thoughts: single style and combination style.(2) A chamber-counterfort retaining wing wall is designed according to a practical project, which meets requires and includes the calculated of anti-capsize stability, anti-slide stability and bearing capacity. Meanwhile, the foundation of wing wall according to the actual conditions is treated.(3) According to the plan of chamber-counterfort retaining wing wall designed, wing wall's internal force and displacement under the working load are analyzed based on ANSYS and are contrasted with the theoretical calculation. At last,according to the results of simulation analysis, the design and the measure of construction and treatment come up.(4) The kinetic reaction of the plan of chamber-counterfort retaining wing wall designed was analyzed, by the combination of modal analysis and kinetic reaction analysis hierarchical,the structural self-oscillation character and dynamic response under the degree horizontal seismic were gained, and the dynamic response to structural under the design water level and degree horizontal seismic were obtained.
