Progress Management Of Guangxi Natural Gas Pipeline Project

Schedule control is an important content in project management,it concerns with the timeliness of economic returns and social benefits of the project,and has a important impact on cost control of investors,construction and supervision units.Thus,it is crucial to enhance schedule control while managing the project.Since the construction of sub-main pipeline of the second west to east gas pipeline project(Guangzhou-Nanning section)began throughout Guangxi province in 2012,the gas-piping related constructions have developed dramatically,and the change of patterns of primary energy use in Guangxi has been world-shaking.The management of gas pipeline constructions has been improved,however,there is a large distance in progression pattern,coverage of pipeline and the utilization of natural gas between Guangxi and other areas domestically and internationally,one of the main reason is the difference of the construction progress in provincial level midstream pipeline.This article combines practice in Guangxi natural gas pipeline Liujiang branch project,after comprehensive study and research of the schedule control in practice,along with data collecting,using logic induction,literature survey,theoretical and empirical analysis methods,analyzes and summarizes the problems encountered in schedule control,pointing out key issues and making suggestions of the follow-up constructions of Guangxi natural gas pipeline network.Also,this article sums up experience,making suggestions of the establishment of schedule control system,including building organization supporting system,improvement of management model of investors,establishment of schedule management system,and introduce concrete measures in the enhancement of schedule management.The result of this study is systematic,targeted and applicability,hoping it can inspire and result in progress in Guangxi midstream pipeline network construction.
