As the thermal power developed deeply,the unit capacity keep growing constantly.With the demand of the stability of the grid operation and other aspects,the thermal power units must reform stability,controllability and safety and other aspects of all-round to adapt the rapid development of power industry.In the context of the rapid development of computer technology and power electronics technology,a new control system emerged-DEH,Digital Electronic Hydraulic,which can meet the complex industrial control requirements of thermal power plants,and played a very good industrial control effect on reducing the valve throttling losses,improving the turbine efficiency,cutting down the energy consumption,and so on.It has been more than 10 years since the distributed control system has been deployed in the company in 2004.During the actual operation,the problem is endless,serious danger hidden in load,time and environment.Such as VCC card failure,LVDT misalignment and so have a serious impact on the normal power generation units,therefore,the upgrading of the DEH system is imperative.This paper introduced the structure,control and operation principle of the DEH system with the project of the upgrading of the DEH system of No.8 unit in Matou Power Plant.The existing problems in the operation of the unit are expounded.Program,and the implementation of the upgrading,so as to meet the needs of safe and stable operation of the unit.
