For a long time,domestic and foreign scholars have studied the problem of small current fault line selection,All kinds of new line selection devices have been widely used in power system,With the development of intelligent distribution network and the development of the new generation of distribution automation,fault location has become the trend of future development and the urgent problem to be solved.A power supply company 35 kV distribution network uses small current grounding mode,A single phase to ground fault cannot confirm the ground fault line quickly,As a result,the rise of the phase voltage is a great threat to the safe operation of the power system,and a large amount of manpower and material resources are needed to operate and maintain the transmission lines every year.Based on this problem,this paper developed a fault location device can set the small current line selection and fault location in one of the lines in the single-phase grounding fault quickly,according to the fault transient waveform of line selection,and based on the right line,further accurate location of fault location,which will due to the fault of the circuit can effectively shorten the outage time and improve the quality of the user’s power.
