Concrete is the most important material in engineering field.But,some of its inherent defects,such as brittleness,poor tensile strength,toughness and other issues hinder its development,In order to improve these defects,fiber concrete came into being.At present,there are a lot of research and application of the traditional fiber,but the research of new fiber is less,therefore,this paper selects two kinds of new fiber materials,basalt fiber and plastic fiber.On the basis of a large number of experiments and theoretical studies,the basic mechanical properties of concrete,steel fiber reinforced concrete and basalt fiber reinforced concrete were studied in three ways,this paper probes into the influence of different fiber contents and types on the performance of concrete,and analyzes and compares the two kinds of new fiber materials to improve the mechanical properties of concrete.In this paper,the volume fraction of 0%,0.5%,1%,1.5%4 kinds of plastic fiber and the volume of,0.05%,0.1%and 0.15%4 basalt fibers were taken as variables,a total of 7 groups were designed to test the compressive strength,splitting tensile strength and flexural strength of 28d in each group.For basalt fiber reinforced concrete,compressive strength,tensile strength and flexural strength will increase with the increase in the amount of the first increase and then decreased;Compared with ordinary concrete strength have different increase in the volume fraction is 0.1%,the optimal mechanical properties,compressive strength,splitting tensile strength,flexural strength is higher than the ordinary concrete increased by 18.3%,21.3%,13.9%;For the steel fiber reinforced concrete,when the fiber content increases,the strength of the 28d will have a certain increase and then decreased,but higher than the strength of plain concrete.When the volume content is 1%,the mechanical properties of all aspects are the best,and the compressive,tensile and flexural strength of the plain concrete is increased by 25.2%,40.6%,and 13.7%,respectively;Compared with the mechanical properties of these two kinds of new fiber reinforced concrete,there is little difference in the increase of strength,but it has a better advantage than the plastic fiber in improving the tensile properties of concrete.Research on early strength for two kinds of fiber,this paper selects 3 groups of different mix when the volume content of basalt fiber is 0.1%,steel fiber volume fraction is 1%when the ratio of the mechanical properties of the 7d age of the test and analysis,The results show that both the basalt fiber and the plastic fiber have little influence on the compressive strength of the concrete at early stage of 7d.the tensile strength and flexural strength were increased in different ranges.In contrast,the plastic fiber to improve its early tensile and flexural strength effect is obvious,respectively,an increase of 44.7%,17.9%,but basalt fiber reinforced concrete is not very obvious.
