The “borrowed scenery” theory of Lingnan Traditional Landscape Architecture is based on geography,environment,natural resources and historical relics,as well as regional features,folk-customs and art.These factors can be conclude in philosophy,ideology,literature and the theory of art,together with the regional concept,social value and the feature of courtyard.The“scene taken-in” theory not only contains objective substance,but also the abstract world view.The article analyze the four cases of Lingnan Traditional Landscape Architecture from three aspects--natural science factor,humanism factor and man-made factor.Taking in the natural science factor means making use of the four seasons and landscape;humanism factor means Lingnan customs,literature and theory of art;man-made factor is the four factors of Chinese Traditional Landscape Architecture.By getting the objective scenes and subjective feelings together,the author states that the“scene taken-in” theory achieve an aesthetic result.By analyzing the Lingnan cases in mountains,stones,lakes,plants and architectures,the author found the Lingnan actual “scene taken-in” theory features start-continue-turn-combine,comparison-and-coordination,together with take-in-pure-nature,take-in-large-from-small.On the other hand,the virtual take-in theory of Chinese garden features mixing scene and emotion together,reality and virtual together,and taking the advantage of rich plant resource to express wishes.At the end,the actual and virtual “scene taken-in”theory in Lingnan traditional landscape architecture can be concluded.And finally,it states that the “scene taken-in” theory is needed to inheriting the traditional garden-create-methods and reserving the Lingnan tradition.
