With the accelerating of construction,the design of boundary space became diverse and get much more attention to the ecological function.Urban parks can improve the temperature and humidity of the environment,which could contribute to improving comfort.Therefore,researching on the design of the boundary in parks and the cooling and humidifying effect in it would help design boundary space with both aesthetic and ecology,which make the theoretical and practical significance prominent.This paper,based on the former research,concentrate on the cooling and humidifying effect in summer in the boundary space in urban parks.With the investigation and the survey of the six urban parks in Beijing,in July and August during 2016 and 2017,depending on the underlying surface,classified the boundary space of parks into plant boundary,water boundary,terrain boundary and pavement boundary.Meanwhile,with the measuring of the temperature and the humidity in and out of parks,analyzed the cooling and humidifying effect of boundary space of urban parks,And analyzed the relationship of cooling and humidifying effect in the different type of the boundary space with the width,rate of vegetation,structure of plant and rate of pavement.Based on the analyzing of the influence factor of the cooling and humidifying effect in summer,presented strategies of designing of boundary space in urban parks.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:The sequence of four types of boundary space in cooling and humidifying effect is:plant boundary,terrain boundary>water boundary>pavement boundary.Cooling and humidifying effect in plant boundary and terrain boundary is the maximum.Cooling and humidifying effect in pavement boundary is the minimum and there even is warming and drying effect in it.(2)The cooling and humidifying effect in plant boundary is affected by rate of vegetation,width of boundary,structure of plant.If the rate of vegetation is 67%?69%,the cooling and humidifying effect in plant boundary would change obviously;the width would affect cooling and humidifying effect in plant boundary whose rate of vegetation is below 67%;the cooling and humidifying effect is better in tree-shrub-grass boundary than in tree-grass boundary.(3)Both the rate of vegetation and the rate of pavement would affect the cooling and humidifying effect in pavement boundary.While the rate of vegetation is the main influence factor.The cooling and humidifying effect will grow up with the grow of rate of vegetation.The pavement boundary will generate cooling and humidifying effect(the average digit is higher than 0)when the rate of vegetation is higher than 13%.The rate of pavement affects the cooling and humidifying effect where the the vegetation is under 35%.And with the rate of pavement increasing,the cooling and humidifying will be weaken.Based on the conclusion,for improving the cooling and humidifying effect in boundary space of urban parks during summer and the improving the comfort of the urban parks,this paper presented strategies of designing of boundary space in urban parks.For low vegetation rate plant boundary,the width of boundary need to be higher than 44m;For small area and low vegetation rate plant boundary,the structure of plant need to be enriched;For the limited width plant boundary,raise the rate of vegetation to 67%;Raise the rate of vegetation to 13%;For those pavement boundary which is unable to grow plant,reduce the rate of pavement until 87%.This study based on the research and measuring of cooling and humidifying effect in boundary space of urban parks in Beijing during summer,present the method to maximum the cooling and humidifying effect,which is meaningful to fully exploit the ecological function and is significant to improve urban environment,enhance the quality of life and construct ecologically-civilized city.
