Lightning is a mysterious and spectacular phenomenon in nature.It is not only of great power,but also of the "top students"".Qingyuan City is located between the Pearl River Delta and the mountains of northern Guangdong,the strong convection of regional weather is particularly obvious,the annual average thunderstorm days up to120 days,lightning activity is frequent.110 ~ 500 k V overhead transmission lines as an important part of Qingyuan power grid.Because of forest in the mountains and broad area,especially by the lightning's favor.For nearly 10 years,caused by lightning trip rate of 86% of the total Qingyuan overhead transmission line,lightning has become the number one enemy of the safe operation of transmission lines.A serious threat to the safety of equipment and reliable operation of power grid,not only affects the transmission line safety,bu also greatly increases the personal sfaty risks.In order to effectively reduce the 110~500k V overhead transmission line lightning trip fault,based on historical data and operation of overhead transmission lines in Qingyuan data,geographic and meteorological conditions and operating conditions for the data analysis reference for Lightning Characteristics Research analysis.The use of large data analysis and ATP-EMTP simulation analysis technology,focusing on the grounding resistance unqualified line grounding device,using the lightning arrester to optimization and adjustment of the lightning protection performance of "congenitally deficient",differential lightning protection based on unbalanced insulation on the same tower key circuit and the difficult lightning protection area's lightning protection.To explore and summarize the comprehensive lightning protection method with Qingyuan characteristics.Speak with facts,through the observation period of one year,to verify the effectiveness of the measures.It effectively solves the problem of 110 ~ 500 k V overhead transmission line in Qingyuan area,and ensures the safety and reliability of power grid and equipment.
