Lightweight for vehicle is one of the important ways to improve the fuel economy,low exhaust emissions and reduce fuel consumption.Auto-body is an important part of the vehicle.Especially for the bearing type,the weight of its body accounts for about 40%-60% of the vehicle,therefore,it is very necessary to practice lightweight of the body.There are three ways to achieve the lightweight of the body: 1)Optimize body structure.Reasonable material distribution and the appropriate parts and components structure,can ensure the performance of the body while reducing the amount of material to achieve the lightweight of the body.2)C hoose reasonable lightweight materials.Using high-strength,low-density materials,not only can reduce the quality of the body,but also can improve the performance of the body.3)Use reasonable connection process and advanced manufacturing process.Sandwich panel is composed of three layers of thin panel structure by welding or bonding,with advantages of specific stiffness,high strength,light weight,vibration and noise reduction,etc.,while it is widely used in aerospace,high speed rail and Shipbuilding.Actually,choosing appropriate sandwich panel is a multi-objective optimization problem which also should consider stiffness,strength,cost,weight and etc..Based on the utility function theory,this paper establish the parameter optimization model of the sandwich panel,transforms the multi-objective optimization problem encountered in the design process of the sandwich panel into the optimization problem of a single target,and writes a parameter optimization program in MAT LAB,which provides a method of quick design of optimized sandwich panel.Details are as follows:(1)Choose a suitable multi-objective optimization method.Aiming at the optimization problem of sandwich panel structure,this paper chooses the appropriate optimization problem based on attribute weight decision,which provides a way to establish the optimization model of sandwich panel parameters.(2)Establish a parameter optimization model of sandwich panel based on the utility function of multi-objective optimization theory,and write parameter optimization program in MAT LAB.According to the optimization program,the sandwich panel structure can meet the requirements of stiffness,strength and weight loss easily.(3)Taking the single layer DC03 steel panel as the reference,the sandwich panel parameter optimization program is used to optimize the two groups of sandwich panel structure,one is the steel sandwich panel with the upper and lower panel of DC03 steel and the other group is Al6160-T6,The three-point bending test of the two groups of sandwich panels was carried out to verify the bending performance of the sandwich panel and the bending of the panel was carried out by using the finite element method.(4)Based on the structure of the front panel of a SUV,the finite element model of the dash panel was established with steel sandwich plate structure and aluminum alloy sandwich plate structure.Simulate the model of the original coaxial panel,the steel plate sandwich panel,the aluminum alloy sandwich about the stiffness,mode and collision performance,and discuss the stiffness,mode and collision performance of front panel of the sandwich panel based on the results.
