Single-phase AC power system was applied in China electrified railway.The locomotive is single phase load.In order to solve the problem of single-phase loads’three-phase equilibrium of power system,contact phase separation device was set and articulated phase was widely used in the electric railway.Nevertheless,with the continuous developing of electrified railway,the problems was coming.Such as many times’ locomotives’ discharge gap’s broken down by over-voltage while the electric locomotive is passing the articulated phase equipment.Accidents such as metal grounding short faults which led by gap’s breakdown hold back the speed of our electric railway.Study of the causes of the over-voltage and its suppression measures has caught a high attention among numerous scholars.In this paper,the electrical construction of neutral section and traction power supply system was introduced.The electrical character of traction electric network was analyst.The interrelated parameters of traction electric network were calculated.The process of over-voltage generation while electric locomotive passing the articulated phase equipment was test.Dynamic change of Traction network electric structure while electric locomotive passing the articulated phase equipment was researched.The causes and influence factor of over-voltage are analyst.the suppression measures of over-voltage were proposed.This Paper according analysis articulated phase insulator electrical structure,has used RC damping circuit the technical measures of suppression over-voltage level,which effectively solved the over-voltage problem caused by the joint-type phase separation of the locomotive.
