The self-centering steel plate shear wall(SC-SPSW)is an excellent type of structural system which can satisfy the seismic performance and the recentering capabilities.Its application is very wide.Infilled butterfly-shaped steel plate walls are used as energy dissipater in this paper.Singe architectural structure has been researched with this new type of structural system.Based on the fundamental of the researches at home and aboard,the energy dissipation and the recentering capabilities of multilayered structure has been studied.A simplified model with its modeling approach has been given and proven out through simulation.Related theory has been studied to research energy consumption and recentering capabilities.Multilayer structure system model is established based on simulation test and theory analysis.The modal of the structure was created by using the simplified model and analyzed under reciprocating loading by static nonlinear method to research its seismic performance and the recentering capabilities.Also related parameters have been studied which can impact structure system performance.Select ground motions to study seismic performance and the recentering capabilities of structure system.The main conclusions can be drawn as follows:(1)The results have shown that the hysteretic curve of the structure is plump and the shape is in accord with accepted theory.With the help of some parametric analysis,we can see that the structure system has better seismic performance and the recentering capabilities.It can be used in anti-seismic of high buildings.(2)Butterfly-shaped steel plate wall and prestress steel strand can impact seismic performance and the recentering capabilities and they need to match each other to improve structure performances.The yield bearing capacity of steel plate wall has the optimal value range and the prestress steel should used within a certain range.Storey height and span will also impact the seismic performance and the recentering capabilities.(3)Under earthquake action,the recentering capabilities and seismic performance of the self-centering steel plate shear wall(SC-SPSW)is good,and prestress steel strand keeps the condition of elastic.(4)The analysis shows that the self-centering steel plate shear wall(SC-SPSW)which is put forward has great seismic performance and recentering capabilities.
