The self-centering steel plate shear wall(SC-SPSW)is a new seismic load-resisting system that combines the strength and stiffness properties of the SPSW with the recentering capabilities of posttensioned(PT)beam-to-column connections.In order to investigate new seismic structural system,analysis the performance of self-centering steel frame,post-tensioned steel strands and steel plate shear walls used as energy dissipaters are all analyzed.The performance objectives of self-centering structural system with infilled steel plate shear walls(SCSS-SPSW)were given out.And the design procedure of this SCSS-SPSW was also proposed.A trial building structure was designed according to the proposed design procedure.After the verification of using finite element analysis(FEA)software to analyze self-centering structural system,FEA study of the trial building structure is carried out.Results showed that the trial structure fulfilled all required performance objectives,and the newly-proposed SCSS-SPSW design procedure is feasible.In this dissertation,the main research work is as follows:(1)This paper analyzes the performance of SPSW,SC-SPSW and posttensioned connections structure,and proposes the design method based on performance objective,such as small earthquake the connection is not decompression,main structure to maintain elasticity.As middle earthquake,only steel plate shear wall yield,and the connection is decompression,and structures can be reset.As large earthquake,the structure can be a small amount into the plastic,and steel wire is not broken.and proposed the design procedure of SC-SPSW in combination with the relevant designing.According to the design method,a SC-SPSW is designed.(2)This paper introduces the way of modling SPSW and posttensioned connections.And the finite element analysis software Open Sees is used to create the analytical model of the self-centering steel plate shear wall(SC-SPSW)structure,and the result of modeling is correctness and feasible.To provide support for the design method of SC-SPSW(3)Selecting the inverted triangle load patterned evaluating SC-SPSW performance with requirements,the feasibility of the design method is proved.(4)Select 3 steams of ground motions and 2 artificial ground motions and adjust the seismic ground motions peak value of 110 gal,294gal,510 gal.The seismic performance of the SC-SPSW structure is analyzed by utilizing dynamic nonlinear analysis method.Evaluate the performance of the SC-SPSW under the action of small,medium and large earthquakes and meet the requirements of the structure.
