Study On The Application Of Scroll Grass In Modern Interior Decoration Design

The international exchange in the era of globalization enriches the diversity of culture which also leads to the gradual loss of traditional culture and regional characteristics.However,with the improvement of living standard,people's aesthetic level has raised therewith,people began to pay attention to national culture and regional characteristics.So how to inherit and develop the traditional culture becomes a focus of attention nowadays.The scroll grass pattern is with distinct characteristics of Chinese traditional culture.It will make a great influence on inheriting Chinese traditional culture if the cultural connotation and artistic characteristic of the scroll grass pattern can be exploited adequately and be integrated into the modern interior design.The thesis adopts the method of literature review,investigation and induction to do research on the origin,development and patterns of the scroll grass pattern which is the object of this thesis,indicating that the scroll grass pattern is a product of long-term development of art design,which implies the cultural communion and the progress of civilization,and it reflects the trend of thought and the ideology of the specific historical stage.The scroll grass pattern is powerful and vivid which not only embodies the traditional civilization,but also shows the spirit of the era.The thesis sums up and analyzes the formal beauty,decorative features,cultural connotation and the application value of the scroll grass pattern,pointing out that the formal beauty is made into the image of decorative art which is higher than life from natural features,with subjective consciousness.With a wide range of topics,flexible modeling,closing to the natural,vivid,content-rich and profound are all decorative features of the scroll grass pattern.The stria has adaptability and inclusiveness which make it can be adapted to decorations of implements with different kinds of topics and styles,playing an important role of showing the value of traditional culture and rendering the indoor atmosphere on the interior design.On the interior design,we can use methods of description,combination,extraction and reconstruction or interpretation to make a creative design of the scroll grass pattern,utilizing "engraving,sandblasting and mosaic" three major techniques to apply the scroll grass pattern to the decoration of indoor space and the arrangement of furniture and lamps.In addition,the thesis contains the innovation,inheritance and development of the scroll grass pattern on the modern interior design.At last,the thesis makes a verifying and discussion on the previous research result based on a case of the practical design in which the stria is used in the indoor decoration in various of methods,which is expected to be a reference on the application of interior design.
