According to the new requirements of the law,the current integrated seats as well as middle row seats should be equipped with three-point safety belts.Compared with the previous two-point safety belts mounted in the middle row seats,three-point safety belts have higher requirements for the structural strength of the seat,and their weight also increase correspondingly.The research takes certain kind of automobile as an example.The software,HyperMesh,is applied to create finite element models of car body,seat frame,upper and lower human body module.Then,the strength analysis of the safety belt fixed point is carried out,as well as a lightweight design and experimental verification,to check the accuracy of the simulation results of the middle row seat safety belt fixed points.In this paper,the following works have been done to solve the problems above.First of all,the advantage of three-point safety belt to belt is analyzed based on a lot of investigations and researches.Considering the position and structure of the middle row seat of a vehicle,the original two-point belt is converted into a three-point safety belt according to the national standard.Secondly,the finite element models of body in white,seat frame and the upper and lower body model are established.Using the software of LS-DYNA,the strength of the seat belt anchorages in the car is analyzed and the accuracy of the finite element result is verified.Thirdly,the displacement sensitivity,the mass sensitivity and the relative sensitivity are calculated and analyzed.The seat frame parts which are needed to be optimized are selected.Optimization model is established to complete the optimal part design of the components so that the seat frame achieves to weight loss.Finally,in order to save the cost,the simulation and experiment on strength of the seat belt anchorages is carried out by using the single seat finite element model that has been optimized.The safety test of safety belt on the single seat is as the following.The simulation and experiment of seat frame,which is installed on the white body,is also conducted to check the strength of the seat belt anchorages.Furthermore,the experiment of the whole structure is carried out.The experimental results and simulation results are compared and analyzed to verify the accuracy of the simulation results of the strength of the middle row seat safety belt fixed point.The test results show that the design of the strength of seat safely belts fixed point meet the requirements.
