Container terminal is the key hub of water and land transportation,which plays an important role in the global transportation logistics.In order to reduce the operation and management cost of container terminals,the key strategy is to improve the efficiency of resource operation.The main resources of contain-er terminals are berth,quay crane,yard truck,etc,and the operations of them have closed relationship.So it is very important and meaningful to study the integrated optimization of various resources.This paper studies the operations of container terminals from the following two main problem:1)The integrated optimization of berth and quay crane.Berth and quay crane are the main expensive resources of container terminals,and the work of them are connected closely.Based on previous studies.we will consider some realistic factors,including the berth deviation,the operation influence of quay cranes,the quay crane setup time,etc.Firstly,we propose a deterministic inte-ger linear programming model.However,due to the outdoor operation of quay crane,the uncertain data occurs frequently,which will have a non-negligible effect to the efficiency of quay crane.To make the planned schedule absorb these uncertain data,we then put forward robust optimization models to grant the planned schedule immunity.In view of the computational complexity of the problem,we design a genetic algorithm and an insertion heuristic algorithm to obtain solutions.2)The integrated optimization of quay crane and yard truck.The load-ing and unloading operations of quay cranes have a osculatory connection with the transportation of yard trucks.Previous researches generally used the single-strategy of yard truck,which will increase the empty running rate and reduce the operation efficiency.Based on this phenomenon,we will introduce the dual-strategy of yard truck into the integrated optimization of quay crane and yard truck.This paper proposes an integer linear programming model for the case of one quay crane,and another for the case of multiple quay cranes.In the case of multiple quay cranes,the model considers some practical factors,the priority sequence of container terminals,the quay crane interference,the safety distance between two adjacent quay cranes,etc.From the computational complexity,we design genetic algorithms to obtain solutions,and conduct numerical experi-ments.In summary,by studying the integrated optimization of container termi-nal resources,this paper establishes respective models and designs feasible so-lution algorithms.Besides,numerical experiments are shown to verify that the research provides a very valuable reference to increase the operation efficiency of container resources.
