With the development of society, elevators are widely used as a vertical means of transport. At the same time, the safety of elevators is also concerned by people. As a result, the elevator test tower came into being, which can have a certain degree of testing to the manufacturer's products, and ensure a certain security. The elevator test tower is a new type of structure,high-rise structure.High-rise structure has the characteristics of high height, slender shape and small rigidity.Under load, the wind load is the most important influence on the structure. The structure is more flexible and more sensitive to wind with the increase of height. Therefore,it is very important to analyze the wind-induced response of the tower. In this paper, the elevator test tower of an elevator manufacturer is taken as the research object, analyzing the dynamic characteristics of structure, the equivalent static force of wind load, and the dynamic response.First,on the concept of wind, the research on wind resistance theory of building and analytic methods.According to the characteristics of the structure, using the finite element analysis software ANSYS establishes an appropriate analysis model.Modal analysis of the structure is carried out to obtain the dynamic characteristics of the structure, such as the natural frequency of the structure, vibration mode and the basic dynamic parameters.Second,on the basic method and principle of equivalent static method of wind load.Under different wind angles, the paper has analyzed that wind acting on the structure results in the displacement and the stress, selected the two different specifications, compared the calculated results, and analyzed the difference of calculation methods and different reasons for results;finally drawn a conclusion.Third,on the structural dynamic response analysis, mainly on the simulation of speed and time-histories about fluctuating wind in the components of the wind. The linear filtering method is used to simulate the wind speed rather than the harmonic superposition method. The power spectral density and the target spectrum are compared to verify the correctness of the simulation. The simulated wind speed and time-histories are transformed into the time-histories of wind load. Two kinds of finite element models are established, one considering the foundation, and the other not considering the foundation. On the basis of the two models, the wind load is loaded into the model s respectively, and the displacement response, acceleration response and force response are obtained. The results of the two models are compared to provide some theoretical support for the wind resistant performance of the structure.
