Gucheng Old Street Landscape Inheritance And Protection Of The Form

After thousands of years' accumulation,the Chinese civilization has gathered rich cultural connotations and cultural heritage.However,with the rapid development of modern society and the gradually accelerated pace of modernization,a large number of precious historical relics and monuments have been devastated,and the city's unique local characteristics and excellent traditional culture are replaced by the incompatible modern constructions.How to deal with the relationship between protection and inheritance of these places correctly,and maintain its own natural and cultural features and landscape,have been the first priorities in cultural heritage protection.Based on the study of the historic street of Gucheng County,Hubei Province from the aspects of historical origin,spatial pattern,landscape form,spirit of place,etc.,this paper digs out its aesthetic,cultural and economic value,and explores the specific methods of inheritance and protection.This paper is divided into 5 chapters,among them,the first chapter is the introduction;the second to the forth chapter are the core,in which,formation and development of the Ancient Street are discussed,spatial form,landscape sequence and city spirit are explored,and its aesthetic,cultural and economic values are judged.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,who summarizes and prospects how to inherit and protect the its resources.In this paper,starting from the basic situation,natural geographical environment and historical evolution of the county,an in-depth analysis of the formation and development of the street is conducted,concluding that the Ancient Street was developed from its unique geographical advantages;secondly,according to the economic,cultural and spatial conditions,the reasons for its lane space and landscape sequence are analyzed,and its natural growth process is summed up on the basis of the spirit of place;thirdly,through the judgment of the overall shape of the Ancient Street,its landscape architecture,humanistic features and value of sustainable economic development are summarized;finally,after a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the history and culture,space form,place phenomenon and architectural features of the Ancient Street,combining the existing problems and the current actual situation of the county,the general planning ideas for the inheritance and protection of the Ancient Streets are put forward,in line with the principle of humanization and ecological sustainability,the targeted protection measures to the Ancient Street are given.
