Research On The Ideological Track Of Changchun's City Planning

History is the memory of a city and ideology of planning is the guidance of a city's development.As a city with a relatively short history of more than 200 years,Changchun has experienced the significant transformation from a frontier-city in the feudal society to a city reputed for its railways,from the “political center city” governed by Japanese puppet regime to the worldly developed city;and finally become the comprehensive industrial city.Compared with other cities in the world,Changchun has become a special and unique example for its legendary city planning process.A summarization of Changchun's planning ideology could contribute to mastering the essential factors for its city construction,which is of great value and significance for guiding further city planning.This paper mainly applies the method of comparative study and conclusive analysis,conducts longitudinal study on the city construction history from 1800 until nowadays by drawing the historical lines for each stage;carries out a cross-sectional study on the developing ideology of city planning.For the cross-sectional study,there are two clues involved,one of which is to place Changchun in the macro historical background while concluding the city planning theories both at home and abroad,with a research being carried out in comparing with Changchun's city planning theory;the other of which takes the city planning and construction activity of Changchun's main urban area as the research subject,describing the background of Changchun's city planning,evaluating the content of plan and concluding the city planning ideology of the specific stage.At last,through taking time as the vertical axis,this paper summarizes the dominant ideas of city planning at all stages of Changchun in series,and comes to the conclusion of the ideological track of Changchun's city planning,the process of which is along with the alternate development between Chinese traditional planning ideology and western planning ideology,Changchun's planning ideology has continuously evolved through rights-doctrine,idealism,rationalism,humanism and ecologic doctrine.Furthermore,this paper points out that the guideline of future city planning for Changchun is the sustainably developing city rehabilitation ideology.And points out that the guiding ideology of future city planning for Changchun is mainly the sustainably developing city rehabilitation ideology,which is a kind of diversified delopment integrated with humanism and idealism.
