Sea Sand Concrete Filled Stainless Steel Tubular columns combine the advantages of both stainless steel and sea sand,this new composite structures not only help solve the shortage of river sand resources and the problems of structural durability of concrete filled carbon steel tubular,but also inherit the merits of CFST such as high bearing capacity,good seismic performance,high fire resistance,high strength and high toughness and plasticity and so on.At present,the study of mechanical properties of concrete filled stainless steel tubular under bending mostly concentrated on the recycled aggregate concrete and river sand concrete,but there is no study about the research of sea sand concrete filled stainless steel tubular,the relevant specification is also no reference.However,from development needs of the future construction,sea sand concrete stainless steel tube columns have a broad prospect of development and application in future.So the study of sea sand concrete stainless steel tube columns has important engineering significance.In the paper,the pure mechanical properties and working mechanism of sea sand concrete stainless steel tube were studied systematically and comprehensively.The main research works of this paper were summarized as follows:1.The research on sea sand concrete stainless steel tube columns was reviewed.The limits of its current research are pointed out.And the objectives of the present work and contents are clarified in the paper.2.Considering the influences of cross-section,concrete type and shear span ratio,A total of twenty-four tests on CFSST subjected to bending were carried out.The influences of various parameters on bending of the sea sand concrete stainless steel tube columns were investigated.Moreover,the flexural strength,the initial flexural stiffness and the serviceability-level flexural stiffness predicted by several design codes for CFST were compared and discussed with the experimental results,and some conclusions are given.3.A finite element analysis(FEA)model of sea sand concrete stainless steel tube columns under pure bending is established using FEM software.The FEA model was verified against previous test results.4.The finite element software model was used to analyze the working mechanism and parameter analysis of sea sand concrete stainless steel tube columns and concrete carbon steel tube columns,and the difference of contact stress between steel tube and core concrete and the influences of various parameters were clarified. |
