The arch dam is fixedly connected to the three foundation of hyperstatic space structure.Its stability and security mainly depends on the safety of the dam stress and the stability of the dam abutment.At present,most of arch dams in our country are built in the last century.They also have several decades of time.Now many arch dams have entered the aging and appeared the dangerous situation.Especially dangerous situation is particularly serious for small arch.In recent years,with the increase in the number of dangerous dams,the stability and safety of arch dams have attracted more and more attention.In this paper,the finite element software ANSYS workbench is used to simulate the stability and safety of a small reservoir unsymmetrical arch dam under three kinds of operating conditions,such as the normal water level,the design flood position and the check flood level.And this paper analyzes the influence of the thrust of arch dam on the gravity dam at the left end of the arch dam to determine whether the arch dam is safe or not.Different from the stability analysis of ordinary arch dam is that the left and right shoulders of the arch are not symmetrical.Due to the limitation of the irregular "V" shaped river section,the right side of the arch dam is directly connected with the rock mass,and the left end is connected with the gravity dam.In addition to the gravity and the upstream water pressure,the gravity dam at the left side of the dam is also subjected to the arch thrust at the right side of the dam.That makes it different from ordinary gravity dams.Through the simulation and analysis of the dam in three conditions,the final result is that the maximum deformation in three conditions of the arch dam and gravity dam is only 9.5mm,which belongs to the small deformation;the maximum tensile stress of arch dam is 1.3MPa,less than the allowable value of 1.5 MPa standard,which meets the strength requirements;the maximum compressive stress is smalland is far less than the allowable value of concrete compressive strength,which meets the requirements;The minimum safety factor of arch dam abutment and gravity dam is above 2.7,which meets the stability requirements.The results show that the arch dam meets the requirements of strength,stability and safety after serving many years later.
