Pavement solar collector is a kind of flat-plate solar collectors.In summer,pavement solar collector can absorb heat and store it in storage,the energy is used for ice-snow melting on road.So Pavement solar collector or ice-snow melting system is a kind of compound energy utilization system.Based on the heat transfer analysis of the process of the pavement solar collector absorb heat,extracting pavement solar collector geometric model and physical model from its engineering application.In view of the characteristics of the pavement solar collector physical model,choosing the appropriate flow model and radiation model,based on the heat transfer analysis of the pavement solar collection,setting the corresponding boundary conditions.Comparing with the simulation results of different working conditions,analyze the basic performances of the pavement solar collector.Set up the simulations of setting different inlet velocity and temperature of the fluid and study its influence on the thermal performance of the collector.Within a certain range with the increase of the circulating fluid velocity,heat-collecting efficiency improved gradually,and with the increase of flow velocity,the heat collection per square meter and the collection efficiency has a peak value.Environment is also a factor to have a certain influence on the process of pavement solar collection.This paper studies on the influence of the wind speed and the solar radiation intensity on the pavement heat collection process.From the results of the simulation,with the increase of wind speed,the increase temperature of the circulating fluid decreases,the temperature increase and the heat collection per square meter also gradually reduce.So the speed of wind is a disadvantage for the pavement solar heat collection.The operation of the heat collection system should be in weather conditions with small wind speed.There exists the highest solar radiation intensity,and the increase of the pavement temperature is lagging behind the changeof solar radiation intensity relatively.In addition to the environment influence on it,the structure of the pavement also has a certain influence on the performance of the collection.Pavements with different road surfaces is presented in this paper,and different pipe spacing,different pipe diameter and different insertion depth grid models presented,predict the influences of different structures through the results of the simulations.Within a certain range,increasing the pipe diameter or decreasing of pipe spacing is helpful to improve collection efficiency of the pavement heat collection greatly.The low wind speed or high solar radiation intensity is beneficial to absorbtion heat.Based on analysis of the heat transfer process of the ice-snow melting,build physical model(slope as 15 °),through the combination of the VOF model,the melting model and flow model to simulate the process of ice melting on road.Under the action of gravity,liquid water flows to the edge of the road.In the process of melting,liquid water has a peak velocity at the outlet.With the decrease of the liquid water evaporation on the slope road,the heat consumption reduces.It is benefit to save the energy consumption of drying the wet road.
