On the basis of the traditional car,the modern car is more and more intelligent,intelligent development of the car can improve driving comfort and driving safety.Driver assistance system is an intelligent environment control system based on sensor,automotive radar as the main sensor of vehicle environment detection,can provide around the target information to the vehicle control,can better improve the vehicle safety and comfort.Firstly,research status of radar target recognition of driver assistant system at home and abroad to do a comparative analysis,pointed out that the current domestic and foreign research is the main vehicle for narrowband radar target recognition,wideband radar research on vehicle recognition is less,and no polarization characteristics is fully utilized in the vehicle target,and from the point of radar target recognition and extraction of scattering polarization characteristics.Determination of the content of this paper,and the development of the technology route.Secondly,this paper expounds the significance of the radar scattering cross section in the vehicle identification,the definition of the radar cross section,the solution of the radar cross section,and compares the advantages and disadvantages of the five methods.Taking into account the surface structure of vehicles,it is concluded that the hybrid method is applicable in the field of radar target recognition.The hybrid method can calculate the computational efficiency and accuracy when calculating the complex details.It is pointed out that the radar cross section can not be classified and identified.After that,the definition of the scattering center of broadband radar is studied.A fast ISAR algorithm to get the vehicle scattering image,vehicle surface scattering center distribution,vehicle scattering centers can simplify the representation of the vehicle shape,using ray tracing method to study vehicle three main scattering centers of RCS and its reflection.Then,four kinds of polarization characteristics and the representation method ofscattering matrix are introduced.A wideband radar target radar vehicle model,comparison of different broadband HRRP,the wideband radar vehicle target recognition,vehicle scattering center can be obtained through the third chapter,using the scattering matrix representation of polarimetric scattering data obtained with polarization characteristics of the vehicle scattering center through three kinds of polarization.The car radar simulation model,determine the test parameters and test environment,set vehicle speed signal,the Radar HRRP according to the measured vehicle target,the polarization feature extraction of four kinds of vehicle scattering centers and the establishment of feature samples,simulation of three typical automobile operating conditions of vehicle classification based on scattering characteristics vector,radar can accurately judge the vehicle target type according to the scattering feature recognition to the target and.This study has a certain theoretical and reference significance for wideband radar recognition of vehicle targets by wideband radar polarization feature extraction technology,radar can timely and accurately detect the vehicle target in the environment,for the automotive driver assistance system and the final vehicle automatic driving direction.
