In the actual project,it's essential to reduce the scour break of the bend flow and weaken the transverse circulation to speed up the curve after the straight section of the water as soon as possible to return to stable.In this regard,many experts and scholars at home and abroad have done a lot of attempts.the bend flow regulating pool is a is a more effective method which can improve the flow pattern of bend flow,with good adjustment effect,simple structure,convenient construction and easy maintenance.It has been put into practice on the bend of spillway tunnel of South Bay reservoir.But it is necessary to do further research on the bend flow regulating pool,so as to provide the design basis for similar engineering application.In this article,the numerical simulation method is used to study the influence of the parameters related to the bend flow regulating pool on the improvement of bend flow and the size optimization,and the control volume method is used to separate the governing equations.The VOF method is used to track the free surface.For the calculation of the pressure field and velocity field,the PISO method is adopted.On this basis,the main work of this article is as follows: 1.the feasibility of the is bend flow regulating pool studied;2.under the condition of the same bending angle and different longitudinal slope,simulate and analysis the change of the flow pattern of the curve,on account of this,get the issues about the transverse surface slope improvement,energy dissipation,and the influence of the transverse circulation rolling;3.through simulation analysis,combined with the needs of practical engineering,the suitable parameter change range is selected,and the bend flow regulating pool parameters with better improvement effect are given.The main conclusions of this article: 1.The bend flow regulating pool both in improving the free surface slope or reduce the level of rotating rolling can achieve a better effect.2.Bend flow is not required to adjust the depth of the pool,and the greater the longitudinal gradient of the curve,the more sensitive to the depth of the bend flow regulating pool.That is to say,the larger the curve longitudinal slope,the smaller the depth which the bend flow regulating pool needs,the better the curve can reach the numerical optimum.3.The longer the curve of the curve,the longer the length of the bend flow regulating pool.4.Adjust the position of the water pool has little effect on height evaluation of curved water surface transverse gradient,usually only affect the location factors of transverse circulation.5.The bend angle of the curve at the same longitudinal slope has little influence on the choice interval of the best the bend flow regulating pool depth.6.Usually,the greater the curve bend angle at the same longitudinal slope is,the smaller the demand for the optimum length interval of the bend flow regulating pool needs.7.Compared with the conventional stilling pool,the ratio of energy dissipation of the bend flow regulating pool is lower.
