Water storage tank is an important part of water flow standard device.Studying on the structural design of the storage tank can effectively improve the technical index of the standard device of the flow.According to the same performance index,to design a simpler,smaller and lower cost water tank structure is good for improving the technical level and industrial application value of water flow standard device.This paper bases on the principle of water flow,and analyzes air bubble in the water tank.The classification and formation reasons of the inner vortex in the water storage tank are introduced,and the negative effect of air bubble on the flow device is explained.At the same time,we research on the gas liquid phase flow simulation method of the storage tank.During the two dimensional and three-dimensional simulation studies,we adjust the static pressure of the pressure outlet to simulate the pump suction.Using VOF model,we obtain the flow state of gas liquid two phase flow through the different structure of the water tank.The results of steady state and transient simulation indicate that the transient simulation method can simulate the movement of air bubble in the water tank.Through experiments,the movement and distribution of bubbles in the water tank are observed.Compared with the simulation results,the correctness of the non steady state simulation method of bubble motion in the tank is verified.A method for optimizing the structure of the storage tank is presented.Using the method to optimize the structure of the water tank,we get water pump inlet height and shape,the internal baffle length,position,installation method of orifice plate,the size ratio of water tank.
