GIS equipment is widely used in substation of various voltage levels because of its compact structure, small footprint, less daily maintenance work and so on.However, the GIS equipment insulation failure will cause a large area blackout, and its repair time is longer than open equipment. Therefore,it has an important practical significance for the protection of GIS safe and reliable operation to strengthen GIS partial discharge live detection technology research and timely detect of GIS internal insulation defects and faults.Firstly, the mechanism and characteristics of partial discharges of GIS devices are studied deeply.Based on this, several popular GIS partial discharge live detection technologies, such as pulse current method, method and ultrasonic method, are analyzed.Base on the characteristics of UHF method and ultrasonic method,it is proposed that use of the above two methods to detect GIS partial discharge.Secondly, the principle of new GIS partial discharge detection system is introduced, and the hardware and software of the detection system are designed in detail. The core technologies of the system, such as the ultrahigh speed segment acquisition and storage technology, synchronous acquisition technology, synchronous phase calculation method,Multi-source local separation technology and other core technologies, are introduced in-depth,and on this basis,to develop a detailed design of the detection process. Finally, the GIS partial discharge detecting device is used to detect and locate the internal defects of GIS equipment in several substations in Baoding area.Based on the detection results, the hidden trouble of defects is eliminated in time to ensure the safe and stable operation of GIS equipment.
