This paper introduced the current advanced composite materials in the international automobile manufacturers and the use of spare parts production enterprises,analyzed the current automobile industry production application of advanced composite materials in order to realize the research direction and development trend of automotive lightweight.The use of advanced composite materials to make commercial vehicles mudguard bracket idea was described.The finite element model of commercial vehicle fenders made of steel and composite scaffolds was set up.The equivalent substitution design methods of the finite element model of dynamic and modal control analysis was used to prove that the composite material can be applied to the rationality of the structure and design of commercial vehicle fenders.The structure characteristics of certain commercial vehicle fender stents was analyzed to establish the finite element model of normal steel fender bracket.Fender of the steel bracket for force analysis,design of the load bearing conditions,according to the designed stress distribution in steel mudguard bracket for finite element mechanics analysis,find out under the conditions of steel fender bracket deformation displacement and stress distribution,the modal analysis are carried out,from the overall steel fender bracket of stress distribution,stress overall suffered more uniform,in the yield limit range,meet the functional requirements.From the aspects of theory has once again proven steel fender structure rationality of stents,and for the follow-up research of composite fender bracket design and lightweight research provides the basis in theory and practical use.According to the current composite material of composite performance and development trend,the 5208 T-300 carbon fiber reinforced epoxy resin matrix composite materials was chosen for commercial vehicle fender bracket structure design.On the basis of designing the same load conditions,the composite fender support was analyzed through static and modal analysis respectively to extract the maximum stress value,and to compare with steel fender bracket by stress.Calculation results show that the designed composite fender bracket in the aspect of strength met the requirements,but slightly less than in stiffness.This basically is the elastic modulus larger than steel composite material.Through steel fender bracket and stress analysis for the composite fender,it is concluded that under the premise of meet the same load condition,composite fender support can both satisfy the use requirement and make the weight reducing,through calculation using the mudguard bracket than original steel composite material weight reduction is bigger,a drop of up to 58%.The results of this paper for the current advanced composite materials in automobile bearing on the structure and the use of material provides a certain theoretical basis and design ideas,at the same time this kind of research method for new material,new technology in the promotion and application of the commercial vehicle and other vehicles to provide the reference.
