With the development of science and technology,people's increasing demand for information led the optical fiber communication and optical fiber sensing technology to has become the hot in the 21 stcentury.In order to satisfy the requirements of communication technology,ultra-low loss,new type fiber structure of longer wavelengths and quality processing technology were needed to develop.And the shape of the optical fiber end face is the main factors influencing the quality of optical fiber coupling.which enables people to constantly study of optical fiber end face processing technology.The traditional processing methods of optical fiber lens(grinding and polishing,fused taper,grating carving,chemical corrosion,etc.)was complex and low-efficient.So people need to find some new methods to product large quantities of fiber and meet people's information demand.In this paper,a set of machining micro fiber end face lens grinding machine control system without programming were developed to solve the lack of fiber in the process.This paper solved the following problems:the optical fiber end face processing without programming was put forward.And a software that Inputting some parameters could realize processing was designed to improve users' operation.At the same time,the machining precision of four types of optical fiber was measured.this main study is the relationship between the machining deformation and angle and the processed fiber are carried out some basic tests.The complete optical processing system was built from processing to measure.the research content is as follows:1.This paper explained the research meaning and the source of this article and analyzed the characteristic of traditional fiber processing method.Micro grinding machine control system was studied based on fiber lens surface machining.And the development situation and future trend of optical fiber end face processing was analyzed.2.The structure of micro grinding machine and the general structure of the control system design were introduced in detail.And the hardware configuration of the control system based on grinding machine was analyzed.the control system of open NC grinding machine(included IPC(Industrial Personal Computer)and PMAC)was built based on the hardware of PAMC programmable motion controller.3.The software structure of Micro grinding machine control system was put forward and the software structure and function module were analyzed in detail.According to the PEWIN32 software of PMAC applied control system,parameter design was carried out and The human computer-interface was developed by means of the advanced computer language VB6.0.According to the call of Pcomm32.dll dynamic ling library,human computer-interface model was carried out.4.The significance of optical fiber end face processing without programming was analyzed and the deformation model was built for optical fiber in the process.The experiment showed the angle deformation change with the change of spindle speed,feed rate and the length of overhanging in the Micro grinding process for optical fiber.5.The attained rule in the micro grinding test was applied to the control system.The test result showed that the machining precision and efficiency was improved in the micro grinding of optical fiber.
