The Ideal And The Flaw Of Le Corbusier's Modern Urban Planning Thought.

As the leader of modernism architecture movement,Le Corbusier opened a new architecture era by a radical method.As the pioneer,his architecture thought affected every aspect of the architectural design and also became the source of the later people.His status in architectural industry was so high that people were easy to ignore his thought about urban planning.We can find that many of his vision have become true in the modern metropolitan.As his architectural thought,his urban planning thought also influenced the modern city deeply.Majority of the study focus on his architectural design and abstract painting,so this paper will concentrate on the character of his urban thought and the thought's formation process.At first,I collect information about him as much as possible,these data include his writings and urban planning project.After reading these data,I analyses the characteristic of his thought.Secondly,due to he paid too much attention on rational thinking,he ignored humanized demand from the citizen.The third,according to the time line,I put the social background,the study experience and different art thought in order,and try to find out what kind of factor affected his thought's formation process.According to the study the city process,the history and citizen's humanized need,I made the compare with Le Corbusier's city.I hope I can make some contribution to the study of Le Corbusier and also provide suggestion to the urban planning work.
