Cambodia 50MW photovoltaic Solar Power plant project in Kampong Speu Province is a new project which has never been constructed before in Cambodia.In recent years,Solar power(PV)has become more and more popular in the rural area in Cambodia.In this thesis I'm going to study a 50MW solar power plant project.This project will develop the 50MW Solar Power Project,comprising of 230kv Switchgear,and about 6km long 230kv double circuit for National Grid interconnection on Build Own Operate(BOO)basis.The identified Solar Power Plan and 230kv transmission line route were selected in order to minimize environmental and social impact.The propose solar power plan covers a range of terrains,from mostly degradation forest,flat grass,and free area.The propose 230kv transmission line route covers a rang of sugar cane plantation.Cambodia is located at latitudes of 10-14° north of the equator and experiences a tropical monsoon climate.Average temperatures are relatively uniform across the country,and are highest(around 26 to 30?)in the early summer months before the rainy season begins.Temperatures remain at 25 to 27? throughout the rest of the year.This study was aimed at the technical and economical evaluation of PV systems installed in Cambodia.The impacts of PV systems on the users were also investigated.
