Virtual Reality is the use of computer technology to simulate the real environment and create a computer system that can experience the virtual world,simulate the real world and create an imagined world.The users interact with the virtual world through visual sense,auditory sense,sense organ and so on.In the traditional teaching mode,PPT,Flash are limited in showing teaching materials.Teachers are unable to elucidate the more complex parts clearly only through the language.Generally,students lack the interactivity and show little enthusiasm about learning.In view of the above problems,this paper develops the virtual simulation system of the processing technic of typical parts of automobile engine based on Unity3 D virtual simulation technology,which can change the traditional static teaching mode,enhance the teaching intuition and interactivity,stimulate the users' learning interest and improve their learning efficiency.Firstly,we utilize Unity3 D to develop the interface development function of engine software UGUI,combined with C # computer language,taking the crankshaft and cylinder block of Audi V6 automobile engine as the research object,and develop the virtual simulation system of processing technic using the idea of module design.The system can realize the function of theoretical knowledge learning,demonstration of the dynamic simulation of processing process and the knowledge detection.Secondly,we use the three-dimensional software SolidWorks to model the Audi V6 car engine crankshaft,cylinder body embryo,and processing tool.According to its structural characteristics and performance,based on turning and milling compound processing technology and high-speed milling technology,we develop the mechanical processing technic procedures for the crankshaft and cylinder block,respectively.According to the organizational technical procedures,we do the dynamic simulation of processing technic process for the crankshaft and cylinder body,combining with the Boolean and particle effects and other functions in the 3DSMAX software.Finally,we enhance the vividness and intuition of the machining process of crankshaft and cylinder block by use of the 3DMAX's rendering function.The virtualsimulation process of the processing technic is embedded in the development system in the form supported by Unity3 D.Combined with the C # computer language,we complete the dynamic simulation playback,pause of the processing process to realize the dynamic simulation demonstration of the processing technic process of crankshaft and cylinder blocks.The virtual simulation system about the processing technic of typical parts of automobile engine was eventually published in the form of a browser and connected to the database.Students can understand the related theoretical knowledge and processing process of the crankshaft and cylinder block through the system of theory knowledge,process of simulation and knowledge detection,enhance the understanding of the processing technic of crankshaft and cylinder block,master the service condition of different machine and tools,and test their mastered theoretical knowledge.In addition,the system is not subject to time and venue.The users can use the software repeatedly through the Internet to improve their learning efficiency and achieve large-scale training.
