The aircraft borne antennas are the air interface of the information system such as wireless communication,radar,navigation and location of the aircraft,and its research and design has important practical significance.Combined with the research project,this paper designs two aircraft borne antennas to meet the technical specifications.The main work done and the results achieved are as follows:Firstly,this paper briefly describes the background and significance of this paper,introduces the characteristics and research status of the antenna,and summarizes the basic theory of the antenna design of the aircraft borne antennas.Then,the new broadband end-fire miniaturization antenna is designed based on the structure optimization and improvement of the wideband slot antenna.When designing the antenna,the efforts of the dielectric cover and the internal systems is fully considered.The simulation results show that the antenna radiation direction is end-fire,the antenna gain in the required working bandwidth is greater than 10 dBi,and the standing wave ratio is lower than 2.5,to meet the technical requirements.In order to further improve the gain,arrange the array layout on the circumference of the carrier body with the designed antenna.The simulation results show that the antenna array is end-fire radiation,the antenna element matching performance is good,the average gain of the two-cell array is increased by 2.7dB,and the average gain of the three-cell array is increased by 4.43 dB.Then,the antenna and the carrier body are fabricated and measured on the basis of the simulation.The physical test results show that the VSWR of the elements in the antenna array is less than 2.5 in the working frequency band,antenna radiation is end-fire,and the error reasons of the difference between the gain performance and the simulation result are analyzed.Finally,based on the theory of helical antenna and engineering design,the single-axle axial-mode conical helical antenna is chosen as the type of airborne antenna,optimize its structural parameters,and carry out multi-winding design.The final simulation results show that the antenna radiation direction is end-fire,the gain can reach 8.4dBi,and other parameters also meet the technical requirements.
