As a kind of material transport device,bucket apron conveyor is widely used in industry.The wheels.on the bucket apron conveyor are an important part of the bucket apron conveyor,and in the long period of load bearing often occurs wheel drag fault and wheel off fault.At present,the fault detection for the wheels on the bucket apron conveyor is mainly based on artificial,and the existing automatic detection methods have many disadvantages.Therefore,this paper presents a method of automatic fault detection for the wheels on the bucket apron conveyor based on image processing.In this paper,the embedded detection device,server software and client software are designed.Finally,a fault detection system for the wheels on the bucket apron conveyor is built.This paper briefly describes the working principle of the bucket apron conveyor,and analyzes the existing automation detection method.Finally,the design of automatic fault detection system for the wheels on the bucket apron conveyor based on image processing is presented.And the design and implementation of the whole system are discussed from three aspects:hardware design,image processing algorithm design and software design.On the hardware front,this paper describes the selection of hardware,such as core board,camera,lens and light,and describes the design and implementation of peripheral circuit for the embedded detection device.On the image processing front,this paper describes the fault detection principles,and describes the image processing algorithms such as image acquisition,image preprocessing,image segmentation,image feature extraction and UPC-E barcode recognition in detail.On the software front,this paper describes the design and implementation of the software for the embedded detection device,Linux server and Windows client.Finally this paper describes the establishment of experimental platform and the acquisition of test data,and the feasibility of the detection method and the feasibility of the whole system are verified by experiments.
