Automatic level is the most widely used leveling equipment.Because of the compensator in the automatic level,the collimation axis can be kept in a horizontal orientation without careful leveling.Manual assembly is usually adopted for the particular structure of automatic level parts.With the increasingly fierce competition of similar products and the increasing of the labor cost,automatic assembly,which can increase productivity,can be the optimum selection.Based on the assembly process of automatic level,the automatic assembly system has been designed.The works completed are as follows.By studying on the current automatic assembly technique and compensation principle of automatic level,the structure of components was analyzed.The parts were optimal designed for automatic assembly.The automatic assembly process was also arranged.The mechanical structure of automatic assembly system components includes a tenstation automatic assembly machine,which was selected based on the advantages and disadvantages of each functional units.The performance index of the system was also determined.Part accuracy design principle that aimed at automatic assembly process was discussed.Assembly actuators were designed based on action principle,which includes turntable,fixture,manipulator,etc.Combining with the tasks and requirements of the control process,the control system for automatic assembly has been designed.Pneumatic schematic has been drawn,and the models of PLC and stepper motor had been determined.According to the control flow,the control program has been complied.Finally,HMI of control system has been designed.
