With the maturity of CFD technology,the application of numerical simulation in tidal current field is more and more extensive.Based on the CFD technique,this paper makes a numerical simulation of the tidal current field at the narrows of Qiongzhou Strait.By using the unstructured triangular mesh,the standard k-ε turbulence model is adopted and the algorithm is solved by SIMPLEC.The numerical simulation of the Qiongzhou Strait is carried out by the above method.Based on the comparison between the observed data and the simulated results of the six tidal current stations in the south of narrows the results are consistent and the reliability of the CFD technology is verified.And then the overall numerical simulation of the Straits,and display distribution of the tide during the ups and downs,up aroused,rest and emergency time.Then,12 feature points were selected along the central axis of the narrows,and the flow velocity and flow distribution were observed by numerical simulation.At the time of high tide,the convection of the coastal terrain in the north of the jiaokou has a synergistic effect,resulting in a rapid flow velocity and a wall effect.At the same time,the diversion effect of the coast forces the flow of water to the southward quickly.The terrain of the west of the mouth of the mouth has a synergistic effect on the water flow,leading to a sharp increase in the flow velocity in the northwest of the headland and an increase in the wall effect.In the early stage of the high tide,due to the convergence and diversion of the terrain here,the seawater flowing from the west side of the Gap in the Qiongzhou Strait of the Qiongzhou Strait has caused an impact on the coastal currents.Westward,the flow from the original southwest to the south to quickly turn west,and finally into the southwest.Gap is the middle of the deep water area is the mainstream in the strait,the maximum flow rate when the high tide can be as high as 1.2m/s,faster than other local flow rate.When the tide,the water flow at the mouth of the mouth evenly.At high tide,the shore flow rate becomes faster,the shore effect is exacerbated,and the ship near the shore sails to the shore.At the same time,the rapid increase of the flow rate and the change of the flow rate will have an effect on the rudder efficiency.The ship’s rudder effect from west to east is worse and the retention is worse.Sex change better.During the ebb tide,the water flow is smooth and has little effect on the ship’s handling.
