The traditional pyrotechnic device is not applicable to the rapid development of the aerospace industry,to develop a new type of non-explosive,low impact,release fast space release device has important practical significance and application value.In this paper,the locking and separation of the satellite and the spacecraft is used as the application background,presents a new space release structure with incomplete thread,through the building of principle,parameters of structure design,engineering drawing,static and dynamic simulation,the space release device prototype is developed,tests and analysis are carried out.The principle scheme of the new space release device with incomplete thread is built,under the condition of ensuring the size and function of the device,the thread portion of the device is designed and strength is checked,the parameters of the thread portion with non-locking features are obtained through calculation.The load that each thread lap carried is calculated which is learned from foreign Yamamoto method,the equivalent stiffness method is adopted,and the deformation analysis of the thread is also calculated through equivalent to the cantilever beam.The physical design and strength calculation of the device's main parts are carried on.ANSYS finite element software is used to analyse the strength of the single parts.The ANSYS Workbench software is used to carry on the integral load bearing analysis of the connect bolt and top nut,the load-bearing characteristics of the release device are obtained.The dynamic simulation of the release device is simulated by using ADAMS software,the results show that the device that designed can release within 20 ms,which is release fast and can reuse.The impact velocity of the release device is small and the biggest impact velocity is 13.718 cm/s which appeared in the contact between the connect bolt and the shield.The prototype of the space release device with incomplete thread that designed can realize the release function well.The release time of the space release device with incomplete thread measured is 25 ms under the condition of static load.The load bearing capability system is designed,the tightening torque coefficient K is calibrated,and the bearing capability range of the space release device with incomplete thread under regular work is from 0 to 3 kN.The impact tests show that the release impact of the device is small.The release impact is much less than the traditional pyrotechnic device.From low temperature-70? to high temperature 70?,the space release device with incomplete thread survives in good condition and could release successfully.The quality of the space release device with incomplete thread is just 871.7 g that meets the requirements of small structural dimension and light-weight.
