As a common initiating explosive device of fuse and a component of a starting role in weapon system,which can complete ignition initiating action under a relatively low stimulus of mechanical energy,heat or electricity,the overloading-resistibility of LEEFI has a great influence on the whole reliability of ammunition system.So,the analysis and research of the overloading-resistibility of LEEFI has extremely important significance.In this paper,for analyzing the LEEFI in the high overload environment,the overloading-resistibility of LEEFI was been assessed by using experiment and numerical simulation method.According to the initiation features of LEEFI,determined its critical initiation energy,the basis of LEEFI's overloading-resistibility has been provided by using numerical simulation By simulating different overload environment,the overloading-resistibility was been tested Using Workbench transient dynamics,analyze the emission intensity and structural strength of LEEFI under high overload.By using LS-DYNA software,the mechanical properties of LEEFI under impact and deep penetration are simulated and analyzed,LEEFI's overloading-resistibility are also analyzed.The results are:Under high launch overload,the LEEFI structure is good,and there is no significant damage of key components like shell surface and ceramic backing plate.Under high impacted overload,the LEEFI shell structure is good,the grain column on the inside has a slight deformation,which can cause the grain crushing,and LEEFI may lose effectiveness.Under high deep penetration overload,the LEEFI structure is good,the strength limit of components such as insensitive explosive grain column and shell surface does not exceed the material strength limit.The test results was coincident with the results of numerical simulation,and the results can be trusted.And LEEFI were not initiation under high overload,its overloading-resistibility is better.Through the method of combining numerical simulation with experimental validation,the overload characteristic of LEEFI has been analyzed,and it has a certain reference value on the optimization of the structure design of LEEFI.
