With the rapid development of automobile industry in China,demand for passenger cars is increasing.Cars equipped with turbo become new favor in the automotive consumer market because of the low emission and high power.As engine accessories,performance testing of turbocharger is very important and will directly affect the performance of turbocharged internal combustion engine.Performance testing of automotive turbochargers includes the compressor performance test and turbine performance test,which need to be done on the turbocharger test bench.As an important part of the test rig,design and construction of measurement and control(M&C)system for the test bench is of great significance.Both the hardware data acquisition and the software data processing will make a great difference in the accuracy of test results.This paper did some design and research on the M&C system for vehicle turbocharger test bench based on LabVIEW.The main steps are as follows:first of all,the test bench system solutions were designed on the base of clear understanding of turbocharger test standards,after which the bench structures,test conditions,test items and test methods were confirmed;secondly,determine the hardware configuration of the M&C system according to the system solutions,including the selection of sensors,data acquisition cards,controllers and the line connection and debugging;then,software design of the M&C system was completed on the base of LabVIEW,mainly including testing system application and control system application,which realized data display,data processing and data storage.Besides,the sensitivity concept of M&C system was introduced and a system sensitivity analysis method based on FAST model was put forward,from which the final sensitivity coefficient of the selected parameter could be calculated out as an evaluation criteria to judge if the selected parameter is sensitive or not to the M&C system;finally,the Least Squares Theory and theory of Multiple Linear Regression were chosen to investigate the compressor performance with the help of MATLAB and the testing results were analyzed.The results of the prototype compressor performance test show that impeller diameter within the range of 70?100 mm,compressor efficiency is greater than or equal to 0.74,which meet the relevant national standard and industry standard.The accuracy of the test results acquired by the M&C system of turbocharger test bench was effectively verified.Test results have certain reference value with regard to the turbocharger performance evaluation and play a good role in promoting for the enterprise to control turbochargers produce quality.
