| Tilting pad thrust bearing is widely used in rotating machinery with axial load.With the rapid development of modern industry,high speed and heavy load have become the development trend of rotating machinery.As the core components,the lubrication performance of sector tilting pad thrust bearing is related to the whole mechanical reliability,service life and work efficiency.Therefore,it is necessary to deeply research to the influence factors of bearing lubrication performance.This paper mainly considers the influence of supporting point position on the lubrication properties of sector tilting pad thrust bearing.Then,the influence of pad angle’s variation on bearing lubrication performance is studied.Firstly,according to simplified structure of sector tilting pad thrust bearing and the basic principle of hydrodynamic lubrication,and on the basis of previous studies,this paper established a mathematical model analysis of sector tilting pad thrust bearing oil film lubrication.Also,the boundary conditions of the equations are given.Secondly,this paper does non-dimensional treatment of mathematical equations.The distribution of the static equilibrium point is obtained and its performance curve is analyzed by using the finite difference method to solve the dimensionless mathematical model.And then the reversibility of the static instability of the thrust bearing is analyzed on the basis of the energy parameter T?.Thirdly,according to the numerical calculation process of the mathematical model of this article,this paper uses the FORTRAN90 language to compile a numerical calculation program of sector tilting pad thrust bearing point-supporting lubrication performance.By this program,the influence of the supporting point position’s variation on the lubrication performance of the oil film is obtained,and the influence of the pad angle’s variation on bearing lubrication performance is alsoachieved.In this study the steady radial fixed bearing point is discovered,named and studied under different operating conditions.Finally,the result form the calculation of tilting pad thrust bearing lubrication program in this paper is proved to agree with the real situation by comparing it with previous experimental data.The future work direction is also given. |
