With the development of economy,we make much use of the ocean on resource exploitation as well as marine shipping.For the purpose that we can have the better marine shipping and resource exploitation,it is necessary for us to do in-depth study on the wind load of ship and marine structure.Another important reason is that the wind load of the ship will make much influence on the ship anchoring and navigation,If the ship structure over the waterline is quite large.In recent years,with the development of computational technology,the advantage of the ship's wind load by Computational Wind Engineering(CWE)is known by us all,which draws more and more attentions of experts who doing research in this area.Therefore,this paper mainly make a study of the wind field around the ship on the FLUENT software platform.The principal theories and basic characters of CFD are presented firstly,and the methods of how to define the computational domain,grid,boundary conditions,physical model and calculation parameters are summarized in this paper.On the basis of before,the model of the ship over the waterline are built,the boundary conditions are compiled by the C programming language,and the wind field around the ship,the pressure on the ship surface as well as the force of ship are successfully simulated,which is accorded with the real tendency.Finally,the wind speed conformed to the exponential rate is simulated by the self-defining boundary conditions function,reasonable turbulence model and computational parameters.It makes the simulation closely to the reality that it adopts the Wall Function Method to deal with the near wall area,when choosing the turbulence model of RNG k-?.In the final simulation,the paper has analyzed inner situation in the wind field when the speed or angle of wind is variable and drawn the conclusion that the variation of angle of wind has more obvious influence on ship than the variation of speed of wind.Another conclusion is drawn that the windward side of the ship has the positive pressure,and the leeward side and lateral side has the negative pressure,when the ship is in the different wind directions.What's more,the dynamic wind load on ship is also simulated.It is mainly about how the force of the ship changes with the continuous change of the wind speed.The conclusion is that the two factor affect the force of the ship are the wind speed before change and the rate of rise of the wind speed.
