| As the rapid expansion of the highway network,the car’s security is not only determined by the driving skill,but also determined by handing performance of the car.So,Researching on vehicle handling and stability performance is very important.Now,the computer simulation has become an important tool in the car’s design and development process.It has become the method of every major car company in shorting develop schedules,reducing cost,improving the quality of development,and enhancing the competitiveness of their products.ADAMS/Car is a kind of mechanical dynamics analysis software which is based on the theory of multi-body dynamics.It’s also the major analysis software of most car company.This paper take a SUV models as the prototype,by using the multi-body dynamics analysis software ADAMS/Car,establish the vehicle model of each subsystem,such as front and rear suspension subsystem、brake subsystem、steer subsystem、anti-roll subsystem、car-body subsystem、tire subsystem、power transmission subsystem,and then assembled all subsystems become to a whole-vehicle simulation model.We conducted six handling stability simulation analysis:steering transient response test,Pylon Course Slalom test,return-ability test,steering wheel impulse input test,Steady static circular test,steering efforts test,and compared with the results of real vehicle test according to the national standard for vehicle handling stability test.The results show that the two kinds of test results are in good agreement,This shows that the Adams vehicle model is effective and ADAMS virtual simulation analysis is able to really reflect the vehicle handling stability,the built model can used for performance prediction and evaluation of the optimization design and modification.Finally,we optimized the Four-wheel positioning parameters of front suspension by ADAMS/Insight.Furthermore,we taken vehicle handling and stability simulation test based on the optimized model,and found the handling and stability performance is improved. |
