Study On Subsequent Use And Sustainable Development Of Contemporary Large Exhibition Venues

As the national power has become increasingly stronger in recent years,China has witnessed continuous growth in social economy,diversification of urban functions,and constant progress in people's daily life.In medium-and large-sized cities,large exhibitions have evolved into an indispensable part in people's daily life,which is of positive significance to urban development strategies.In urban planning process,a majority of cities tend to show their economic structure and power by dint of large exhibitions as well as adjust and transform corresponding functions and structures.Due to the increasingly stronger comprehensive power of China in recent years,many large exhibitions have been held in China.Characterized by large occupied area and complicated structure,large exhibition has a far-reaching influence on urban development.Thus,the subsequent use and development of large exhibition architecture,plus its planning and control in urban planning,needs an in-depth exploration and study.Based on the subsequent use of the exhibition venues in Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition,this paper analyzes the typical causes about the subsequent use of the large exhibition venues to discuss and study the sustainable use of the exhibition venues in Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition from the perspective of sustainable development.This paper performs a comprehensive,detailed and systematic analysis and study on 2014 Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition,which has helped to understand the service condition of the exposition site after Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition.The subsequent use of Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition is evaluated objectively through a detailed field survey on various aspects such as service condition of exhibition venues and exposition site,tourist volume,activities held,ceremonies and entertainment facilities.This paper describes the opportunities for the holding of large exhibitions in the future as well as the characteristics of exhibition venues to optimize the structure of urban social services by making an analysis and summary about the exhibition venues of Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition.Such description is also intended to facilitate economic development of exhibitionvenues and its surrounding areas to promote the optimization and development of urban structure and strategies.Meanwhile,to bring into better play the concept of sustainable development in future urban planning,the subsequent use of large exhibition venues can play a positive exemplary role.Despite the closure of Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition,the study on sustainable development of exhibition venues will be still continued.This paper proposes some targeted suggestions for the use of exhibition venues in Qingdao International Horticultural Exhibition in an attempt to provide references for subsequent use of large exhibition venues.
