The Reserch Of The Activity Space For The Children Of ChengDu City Park

With the development of the reform of the household registration system, also follow the development of the housing industry, urban population, the contradictions existing land resources and real demand for land continues to deepen. In this context the impact on society of many problems, one of which is a children’s outdoor activity space constantly compressed. In addition to our existing interior space for children in general are still residential areas, city parks and other outdoor public space for a special setting, especially in the urban park, providing both green and eco-function leisure and entertainment for the public, is the main outdoor activities for children place. But city park itself, whether microscopic detail design, children’s activities on its interior space itself, there are still some problems on the macro planning, therefore, needs to be further research and discussion.This paper summarizes research progress at home and abroad, three in Chengdu city park space for children to study, read literature, field research, surveys, naturalistic observation method and comprehensive study, analysis of Chengdu City Park children’s playground construction situation, depth child space usage, and behavioral characteristics of children in the park space in the form layout, landscape elements, space and other games facilities, children’s activities and proposed planning strategy space. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Children’s activity space in Chengdu city parks There are four types:natural space, operational space element, gaming devices and event space square space. Among them, the natural space and operational elements of space activities for children, activities in long distribution of age of the child, the number of children and other activities, the superior event plaza space, especially the quality of the activities above game device space. Because the natural elements and operational space, children are free to create a variety of activities, and low cost events, activities and more, the higher cost activities.(2) Different age groups and different gender of children in the use of different space types differ preferences:children under 3 years old like to play in the activities of square space, because such sites on children’s activity ability request is not high.4 to 6 years old children in all kinds of space can be free. School-age children over the age of seven children aged 9 to 12, in particular, general activity less opportunities, should do the activity partition, attract and encourage children of all ages for outdoor activities. Four types of space, the boys than girls are more willing to participate in activities.(3) Children activity space in the overall layout of the city park has the characteristics of the scatter distribution imbalance; Internal space has a complex series of children’s activities, radial, dendritic, annular space layout form. Children activity space image performance is:the site area of 100-1500 m2, and entrance zone distance between 50-200m. Suitable venue size, location, traffic convenient accessibility; Site has many roads to facilitate connections with other space, the main use of roads, vegetation, terrain elevation difference to surround close the border, have specific markers lead the children into activity.(4) Using groups of children activity space in addition to the children, and adults, the elderly, the special groups involved in using, differences between different people use requirements. Site area for children in different age groups that offer a diverse innovative games facilities, but also grasp space comfort and security; Mainly include care behavior for adults (parents) and other activities of adults, and adults need to add rest care space, parent-child space and equipped with perfect public facilities and affiliated facilities, in order to meet the diverse needs of them; For the elderly will be in open space for the use of static activity area, and make relevant safety and protection measures, for the elderly care behavior, but also the line of sight of the old man and child interaction; For special populations, it is mainly refers to the special children, in strict accordance with the barrier-free design standard to deal with related field elements, in order to reach every child members can participate in activities.(5) City Park Children’s spatial planning policy principles are:insist in favor of children’s physical and mental health development principles; venue principle of combining comfort and safety; convenient accessibility principles; the principle of sustainable development.
