"Pioneer" Chess Products Portable Packaging Design

Weiqi and Chinese chess are traditional board games with long history.With the rapid development of economy,people's leisure and entertainment patterns are gradually becoming diversified.Although amateurs of Weiqi and Chinese chess are not as extensive as before,the group is relatively stable,only the rise of the Internet has changed some people's way of playing.The main reason is that traditional chess products are too large and people can only play in limited places.However,compared with the Internet,the traditional way of playing is conducive to interpersonal communication,there is an irreplaceable advantage.Therefore,it is necessary to improve the design of traditional chess products packaging.Through the study of portable packaging design,this paper explores the portable design method of Weiqi and Chinese chess products packaging.According to the analysis of market demand and consumers,this project defines design direction of the portable packaging of board products;secondly,aimed at behaviors,individual needs and emotional factors of different users,this project one by one investigates and analyzes,in addition,this project focuses on users,according to different user groups clears design requirements;and then from packaging structure,materials,products and visual plane carries out overall redesign.Through the design of Chinese traditional chess products packaging,we use foldable bags and messenger bag structure,opening method of Velcro or rivet,and combine part of the products and packaging,make packaging play the role of daily receiving after the completion of sales mission;in the materials,we choose hair felt of good performance,easy processing and greens environmental protection,which reduces the amount of packaging waste;in the visual design we use the way of hot stamping to make the product logo,and highlight the brand of products by concise form,and form a unified style with package modeling.We make traditional chess products portable and easy to use and give full play to proper human-computer interaction of board games,so that achieve the purpose of protecting and carrying forward the traditional essence of Weiqi and Chinese chess.
