With the development of smart grid technology,higher requirements for power qualityand reliability of power supply have been put forward.As a low cost and good reactive power compensation device,controllable reactor is widely used in power grid capacitive reactive power compensation,limiting over-voltage and so on.With the development of ferromagnetic material,high performance and large capacity controllable reactor with new principle and processing technology has been applied to EHV and long distance transmission field gradually.Various types of reactors and different structures,mostly for single-phase and three-phase magnetic valve type reactor,and three-phase fissure type controllable reactor is usually used in traditional six or three column type double column structure,large volume,complex structure.In view of this problem,a new type of DC magnetically controlled controllable reactor is studied in this paper.First of all,this paper briefly introduces the research status and development prospects of controllable reactor.The reactor is classified briefly,and the working principle and structure characteristics of different kinds of reactor are pointed out.According to a new type of controllable reactor is studied in this paper,introduces its structure and core winding connection and work principle,established the mathematical model of controllable reactor,and the harmonic current and the analytic expression of controllable reactor current using two magnetization curve model.Secondly,according to the design scheme of the transformer design process of three-phase three column dry type controllable reactor,design procedures and formulas,including core calculation,selection,minimum winding current,leakage resistance and loss,temperature rise calculation etc..According to the design scheme summarized,a three-phase 10KV/1200kVA three column controllable reactor is designed,and the detailed calculation results are given.Thirdly,the 380V/5kVA reactor prototype model of three-dimensional simulation analysis using the finite element software,get the reactor magnetic field distribution,current waveform and harmonic content of mathematical analysis method and the design scheme is validated.Finally,according to the design scheme of the third chapter,the parameters are calculated,and a prototype of small capacity reactor is built,and the prototype is measured.The theory analysis and simulation experiment data and calculation data analysis and comparison results show that the analytical characteristics and simulation calculation results of the reactor are verified the correctness of the design method;andit is proved that the three-phase three pole controllable reactor with a wide range of adjustment,approximate linear volt ampere characteristics etc.
