Currently,Wulanchabu city is the largest 10-million-kilowatt grade of new energy base in Inner Mongolia Power Grid,it is imminent to improveregional power transmission capacity of new energy.Study on the development trend ofWulanchabu grid and regional economies,solutions to planning and operational problems of Wulanchabu grid in the future.Firstly,the paper establishs a variety of mathematical models to make a preliminary forecast for the load of the region.Then for the power plant and substation construction projects,three schemes for planning and design in Wulanchabu grid are proposed,and reliability and economy of the three schemes are analyzed and calculated.Finally checking theeconomy and reliability constraints of schemes,determining a reasonable planning and design and analysis the scheme is accurate.Finally,power balance calculation,power flow calculation and transformer capacity analysis to Wulanchabu region grid load with three schemes,verified the electrical calculations with PSASP software,it is discussed to main power grid construction,power transmission and transformationdemand and the necessity ofconstruction of Wulanchabu region grid,and meeting to the power load in the next two years,meanwhile to more new energy putting into operation,especially ensure the safe and reliable operation of outgoing power.
