CDQ(Coke Dry Quench)cogeneration units introduced in this paper utilize the steam--the by-product in coking process--to supply steam and power, its products include low pressure steam and power. The units operating currently include two sets of condensing turbine with extraction,a pure condensing steam turbine, two sets of back pressure type generator unit, and five sets of medium pressure and temperature reducing device and four sets of low temperature and pressure reducing device.Another cogeneration unit and two sets of pressure and temperature reducing device are under construction.Because of the different model, capacity, performance of each unit, the pressure and temperature reducing devices and the steam boilers,in addition with the different location of each waste heat power generation unit, the waste heat power generation units are in a non economic operation situation for lots of time. The fluctuating steam consumption of the users also make it exceptionally complex and frequent to adjust the cogeneration units. In order to make full use of the complementary energy, improving the comprehensive utilization of complementary energy and the waste heat power generation, this article will carry out the discussion from the aspects of improving the unit equipment efficiency, optimization of operation mode.By the "DMAIC" system analysis method, analyzing the fundamental factors affecting the comprehensive efficiency of waste heat power generation unit, taking corresponding measures according to the analysis conclusion, continuously improving the problems found during the implement of the measures, the waste heat power generation units ultimately get improved.
