The petrochemical enterprises belong to continuous production industry, the application reliability of the equipment is required important, and so the equipment's reliability is put into the first place in the equipment management in many enterprises. As the national supporting industry, the petrol-chemical industry is crucial in the development of national economy, and the importance of equipment reliability is decided by its production characteristics and applying equipment specialties. With the rapid development of petrochemical industry, the problem of maintenance deficiency and surplus emerges in the schedule maintenance mode, which is adopted for petrochemical equipment in the past. So, it is turning into advanced condition base maintenance mode. The intelligent maintenance system's research of combination of condition monitoring, failure diagnosis and different advanced maintenance theory by useful information has important significance and practical value. Reliability Centered Maintenance(RCM), which becomes the preferred maintenance analysis method in the complex system more and more, can not only determine selective maintenance strategy according to the failure mode of equipment, but also fully consider the relation of equipment performance, maintenance economy and maintenance strategy. Due to the level and current situation of equipment management in China, current domestic RCM analysis almost uses the foreign data base. However the petrochemical unit is complex system of interaction of people, equipment, process and environment. Materials, environment and operation status is not the same as the foreign. In addition, process parameters always change, so the foreign statistical data is in concordance with domestic equipment status difficultly and reduces maintenance analysis's efficiency and accuracy.This paper presents that the traditional RCM analysis is combined with condition monitoring and failure diagnosis technology. Not only using failure probability data, but also real time and periodically monitoring equipment status judges and predicts equipment degradation trend, purposes a kind of dynamic RCM based on monitoring and diagnosis and develop the reliability-centered intelligent maintenance system based on condition monitoring. This intelligent maintenance system integrates condition monitoring and failure diagnosis technology, RCM theory and computer maintenance management system, real-timely processes the collected data of equipment operation status, and then assesses and predicts equipment running state. Systematic RCM analysis based on the data from condition monitoring is finished and conclusion from RCM analysis is used to direct condition monitoring, which forms a beneficial circulation and the much better maintenance is carried out on the equipment. Detection and maintenance strategy is adjusted according to change of equipment running state. By equipment practical state, scientific and reasonable dynamic decision is established in order to cut down "surplus detection" and "surplus maintenance", which provides technology support for petrochemical units' long-periodic operation.This paper analyzes the whole intelligent maintenance system in detail based on systematic analysis on equipment maintenance management, decides various function module inner the system, summarizes the main application technology, briefly analyzes system design principle and the desirable target.
