The emergence of a variety of electronic control technology and various models,made modern vehicle cooling system have more working components,piping branches,and more complex pipeline structure,which will lead to system pressure imbalance.At this time the cooling system prone to unreasonable flow distribution or excessive resistance,excessive loss of energy situation.Numerical simulation and experiment are effective methods to study this problem.However,for some special vehicles with less output,many of the pipeline and components of the vehicle cooling system need to be produced separately.The parameters of each component are unknown.Even if the same product’ performance parameters are different.Therefore,the lack of simulation boundary conditions will make numerical simulation be difficult for these vehicles’ computing research.To solve this problem,building resistance simulation test bench for vehicle’s cooling system’s cold side is very necessary.The test bench can simulate and determine the resistance of main components and key pipe of vehicle cooling system,find out the whole water resistance distribution,so that we can solve the complex water pressure balance problems,ensure the allocation of water be rational and water system work stablely.This paper mainly studies the following aspects:1.According to the function and requirements of the test-bed,the cold side resistance simulation test-bed of vehicle cooling system is designed.The test bench is divided into the mechanical system and the acquisition and control system,the mechanical system includes five parts:the pump group,the heating system,the exhaust and water replenishing tank,the accessories and the system under test.The function of the test bench is The simulation of the flow condition of the whole water system under cold and hot condition;Test for resistance characteristics of cooling system components(resistance of water side);Test for the pipeline resistance characteristic of the cooling system.2.From the overall plan,detailed calculated and design the mechanical system and the acquisition and control system.It includes the matching selection of the pump group,the heating power and the control mode of the heating tank and the pressure and the volume of the exhaust and the water tank.Designed the hardware and software of the test bench’s acquisition and control system.3.Test the resistance characteristics of cooling system components and pipelines on the simulated test-bed.Through the analysis,pointed out that the resistance of pipeline can not be ignored.Through the flow resistance characteristic curve of each part,the fitting curve is obtained,which provides the data base for the designation,optimization matching and simulation of the cooling system.4.According to the requirement of the cooling flow under the condition of the vehicle,the resistance distribution of the vehicle is analyzed by the data of the resistance characteristic test of the vehicle.According to the characteristics of parallel pipeline and the flow requirement of the vehicle,the optimization scheme of the parts’ location of the cooling system is proposed through the data analysis.
