Vacuum contactor is a kind of large capacity control apparatus, which is used to connect and cut off the main circuit frequently. It has the characteristics of strong arc extinguishing ability, good pressure resistance, frequent operation, no electric arc spraying, light weight, etc. However, in practical application, it has bounce phenomenon, and contactor life cannot be guaranteed. To solve this issue, this paper analyzes some of the major current control methods, compare their advantages and disadvantages, a closed-loop control method is proposed based on the measurement of electromagnetic induction, the method can calculate inductance through online value that determines the current state of motion of the coil, fast fault detection and can confirm that there is an open or short circuit conditions. While taking advantage of fuzzy control method, we can get a pull speed state distribution of real-time control of the operation of the contact process, avoiding contactor bounce. In addition, this study intended to optimize the design of protection systems to reduce the impact of external disturbances on the system, improve system life.
